About the Money

Payment Processing Dates

Op4G pays members on a monthly basis if they earn $10 or more. If a member earns $10+ (excluding donations) by the end of a pay period, he/she will receive payment. Otherwise, the earnings will simply roll over into the next period. Payments will be issued on the last day of the month and will include all money earned by the last day of the previous month—as long as the payout threshold was met. For example, if a member earns $10+ by June 30th, he/she will receive those earnings on July 31st.

When the processing date falls on a weekend, PayPal payments are processed the first business day following the weekend.

Payment Options

Opinions4Good currently offers Members payment by PayPal. Note that your member email does not need to match your PayPal account email in order to receive payment. For more information on creating a PayPal account, visit the PayPal Account Setup page.

No Processing Charges

Opinions4Good does not charge Members any fees for processing payments. Members automatically receive a payment at the next payout date (as specified above) when they reach a minimum balance of $10.00 during a given month. Monthly earnings below this amount roll forward to next month’s payment cycle. Opinions4Good Clients pay all expenses related to the market research they are conducting. Therefore, 100% of funds earned are paid to Members and their designated Non-Profits.

No Earnings Limit

There is no maximum amount Members can earn for themselves and/or their Non-Profit. However, due to IRS regulations, once a Member has earned $600 in annual income, Opinions4Good cannot pay additional funds until a Social Security number has been provided by the Member. At that point, Opinions4Good is required by law to provide a federal Form 1099 for a Member’s annual tax filing. Until a Social Security number is on file, no money greater than $600 earned by a Member can be paid and each dollar will be turned over to the Member’s currently selected Non-Profit.

Taxes

One hundred percent of the money a Member earns through Opinions4Good activities is taxable. Money directed to be shared with Non-Profits (minimum of 25% of the money you earn) is eligible for charitable tax deductions. However, Members should consult with a tax professional to determine whether such a deduction is relevant to their individual situation.

Opinions4Good will provide appropriate information to Non-Profits supported by each Member so the appropriate tax information can be compiled.

When total earnings from Opinions4Good activities approach $600 in a calendar year, federal law requires that each Member provide their Social Security number so their income can be reported via IRS Form 1099. Until a Social Security number is on file, no money greater than $600 earned by a Member can be paid and each dollar will be turned over to the Member’s currently selected Non-Profit.
