Op4G's Non-Profit of the Month: United Cerebral Palsy!

Op4G’s non-profit of the month is United Celebral Palsy (National Office)! With over 100 affiliates, UCP works to advance the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of people with a spectrum of disabilities. It does so by advocating for civil rights and public policies for disabled peoples, providing an online resource of information for parents and caregivers, and by harnessing adaptive technologies to enable greater self-reliance.

But the backbone of UCP is the services it provides. These services include housing placement, therapy, assistive technology training, early intervention programs, family support, recreation programs, referrals, and employment assistance.

Op4G's Non-Profit of the Month: A Women’s Pregnancy Center!

A Women's Pregnancy CenterOp4G’s Non-Profit of the Month is A Women’s Pregnancy Center! Serving north Florida for almost 30 years, the non-profit provides support to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. This includes pregnancy counseling, pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, community referrals, and education. It also includes material support in the form of maternity clothes, baby clothes, and all items needed to bring newborns home.

A Women’s Pregnancy Center served over 1,200 men and women in 2012 alone. As the majority of these clients are economically disadvantaged, all services and goods are provided at no cost. To make this a reality, A Women’s Pregnancy Center relies solely on the generosity of individual donors, local churches, and Op4G. In fact, the non-profit has partnered with Op4G since its launch. In the words of the Executive Director, Jamie Brown, “What a blessing it is to have such an easy revenue stream that benefits us as well as our supporters. We look forward to a long successful partnership”.
