It’s a lucky month for cats – 13th Street Cat Rescue is Op4G’s Non-Profit of the Month!
13th Street Cat Rescue is an all-volunteer animal rescue in San Jose, California. It is dedicated to improving the lives of homeless cats and controlling their population by the use of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). TNR is an internationally-recognized, humane, and effective program for reducing the population of stray and feral cats. In the past three years alone, TNR has contributed to a 25% reduction in the number of cats and kittens entering San Jose shelters.
13th Street Cat volunteers work with local vets and animal shelters to trap, vaccinate, spay or neuter cats, then return the animals to where they were found. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care by volunteers and put up for adoption.
All donations to 13th Street Cat Rescue help provide food, supplies, spay/neuter, and medical care for homeless cats. For more information and to see the current list of adoptable cats, visit: at 13th Street Cat Rescue.
