Maximizing your Op4G Earnings: Outreach Methods for our Non-Profit Partners
At Op4G, we are always looking to increase funding for our non-profit partners. To this end, we encourage our partners to ask their supporters to register with Op4G, complete surveys frequently, and increase their donation percentage.
But what are the best ways to convey these messages to supporters? Op4G suggest several outreach methods. First, we recommend engaging in direct online communications. Experience shows that such communications, particularly dedicated emails or newsletters, drive the best results.
Other online methods have also proved successful. These include blogging, posting on social media platforms (Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn etc.) and featuring the Op4G logo on the non-profit’s website or email signatures. In all cases, partners should include a link to the Op4G registration page.
Furthermore, non-profits can use traditional communication methods. For example, they can reference Op4G in mailings to members, as well as in event marketing materials (signs, programs etc.).
Whichever methods a non-profit chooses, we strongly advise them to follow-up. In general, we find that more follow-up translates into greater Op4G enrollment and earnings. We also ask partners to inform us of their outreach activities. We can then cross-promote and send data on the success of the outreach efforts.

Staying Current on Op4G
Reading our weekly blog is a terrific way to learn about Op4G. However, there are several other ways to get the latest news on Op4G and our non-profit partners.
First, we encourage our members to “friend” our facebook page (www.facebook.com/Opinions4Good) and follow our twitter account (www.twitter.com/Op4G). This is best way to stay current on Op4G, as we post messages daily. Such messages cover a wide range of topics including Op4G updates, upcoming partner events, recruitment requests, Op4G tips and statistics, and testimonials. We also include helpful articles and videos on fundraising for our non-profit partners.
Second, we recommend that our members add Op4G on LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/company/op4g). Through the professional networking site, members can learn about Op4G staff members, as well as our many contacts. They will also receive occasional updates from Op4G. Please note that LinkedIn is a relatively new initiative for Op4G, however, we will be developing our profile further in 2013.
Finally, members should sign up for the monthly Op4G newsletter. Members can do so via the “notification preferences” tab in their myop4g profiles or by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Our newsletter, sent directly to your email account, profiles our monthly sweepstakes winners, offers useful tips for our members, and announces our newest non-profit partners!

Our Partners' Views on Op4G
At Op4G, we have had the privilege of developing relationships with many of our non-profit partners. Recently, we reached out to these partners and asked them to share their views on the Op4G experience and its benefits. Here are their responses!
Partners largely agreed that they were drawn to Op4G as a “simple” and innovative way to engage supporters. More specifically, they viewed Op4G as a way to encourage donations “without dipping further into their pocketbook”. This was especially attractive given the state of the economy.
Upon joining Op4G, our non-profit partners expressed that the required effort on their part was minimal. In general, it was limited to “a little thoughtful planning” about outreach to supporters to encourage Op4G registration.
Initially, several of our non-profit partners admit that their supporters were skeptical, viewing Op4G as “too good to be true”. Over time, however, they have found that “the reality is easier to grip with each monthly proceed check we receive”. Many also described the surveys as “fun”.
Finally, our partners noted the overall impact of Op4G on their non-profit. Multiple partners reported that they accrued hundreds of dollars through Op4G in just a few short months. More importantly, these funds were “new unrestricted and unbudgeted income”. For these reasons, partners agreed that they would certainly recommend Op4G to other non-profits.
To learn more about the Op4G experience, please contact support@op4g. We’d be happy to connect you with our non-profit partners for their view!
Top 5 Tips for Op4G Members
1) Complete surveys early: Op4G surveys are on a first come basis! To minimize your chances of being screened out, please complete surveys as early as possible. Also, ensure that your notification preferences are set to “immediately” in your myop4g profile.
2) Complete surveys frequently: Op4G issues checks quarterly to all members who have earned $20 or more (otherwise, accumulated funds roll over into the next quarter). To ensure quarterly payment, and increase your overall earnings, please complete Op4G surveys as often as possible.
3) Use the right browser and device: We find that Op4G surveys are most compatible with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. Similarly, our surveys work best when completed using a computer, as opposed to a tablet or smart phone.
4) Complete surveys in one sitting: Completing surveys in a single session, with minimal jumping between pages, can drastically reduce the likelihood of survey error. It is also a requirement for many off-platform surveys. For this reason, we encourage members to complete Op4G surveys during blocks of uninterrupted free time.
5) Update your demographics and address: Please update your Op4G profile via myop4g.com every time your personal information changes (e.g. your address, jobs, marital status, number of children etc). This may increase your eligibility for surveys, reduce the frequency of screenouts, and ensure that your payments arrive at the right house!
Partnering with Op4G
Op4G is always looking for new non-profit partners! Each new partner allows Op4G to support more causes and increase our reach across the United States.
For this reason, we have created a short and simple registration process, enabling non-profits to partner with Op4G within one business day. The process begins when a non-profit staff member or supporter proposes the new non-profit partner via http://op4g.com/membership/propose. We then email the non-profit a nine question partnership form. Among other information, the form asks for the non-profit’s website and logo (for inclusion on the Op4G site), billing address (for payment purposes), and tax ID number (to verify non-profit status).
Once complete, we add the new non-profit partner to our website and notify our members over social media. We also request that the non-profit contact their supporters (via dedicated emails, social media, their website etc.) to announce the partnership and encourage enrollment in Op4G.
To assist with outreach efforts, we generally arrange a 5 minute call between the non-profit and our CEO, Frank Nappo. The Op4G Account Management team is also available to help at any time. For more information, please visit http://op4g.com/nonprofit or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Getting to Know Op4G
Op4G is a philanthropic market research company based in the United States. Founded in 2010, our overarching aim is to expand funding for non-profit organizations while meeting the market research needs of our clients.
How does Op4G achieve this dual mission? Upon receiving a client request for market research, we email surveys to Op4G members who meet the client’s desired demographics. Depending on the length and difficulty of the survey, we offer members $1 – $20 for completion. However, of those earnings, we ask that members donate at least 25% to a non-profit of their choice. Members can choose from our existing list of non-profit partners or recommend a new non-profit.
Thus, with every survey completed, both our members and non-profit partners accrue earnings! These earnings are tracked in members’ myop4g.com profiles, as well as in the Op4G database. Then, every quarter, we send a check to all members that have earned over $20 and all non-profits that have earned over $250. Any funds that do not exceed this threshold simply roll over into the next quarter.
This innovative business model allows everyone to win—members, non-profits, clients, and Op4G staff. To learn more about Op4G and how we operate, please explore our website or contact email@example.com.
